CPSI’s Leadership Team

CPSI’s leadership team is comprised of several qualified individuals who are passionate about education and educational technology.

» Aziz “Z” Elia – Chief Software Architect

Z sets the pace for the company products, direction, and vision. Z has been providing solutions for the K-12 market since 1989, and has seen technologies change a lot over the years, and always adjusts solutions to be at the leading edge of those technologies.
Z has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biology/Chemistry. He also has been trained in project management. As the original software engineer for CPSI’s first product, CASEL, he keeps designing and providing the vision for CPSI solutions and products.

» Michelle Elia – President and Director of Marketing/Project Management

Michelle has been providing direction for CPSI since 1990. While not actively involved in the technical support and design side any more, she consults with clients on project management, writes proposals, and stays actively involved with the deployment division of CPSI. She is also in charge of Marketing for the company.
Michelle has a degree in Aerospace Engineering, an MBA in Marketing, and has a Master’s Certificate in IT/IS Project Management.

» Lou Eriquez, Ph.D. – Director of Systems Development

Dr. Lou has been involved in the management of software projects, development, and program coordination for many years. His areas of expertise include project management, business development and analysis, application development, programming, and relational databases. Dr. Lou came to CPSI in 2008 after being with CORE/ECS for several years.
Dr. Lou has a Ph.D. in Microbial Biochemistry, and MS in Clinical Microbiology, and a BS in Biology.

» Mark Reichert – Director of SIF Applications

Mark is an experience computer scientist with an intimate and unique knowledge of many different standards, and has been instrumental in the implementation, development, and/or improvement in those standards. One of them was the SIF specification. Mark came to us in early 2008 and is coordinating the SIF standards into the product line at CPSI, setting the standards for CPSI for all newer SIF software development. He is also developing the data modeling for statewide data integration and longitudinal data analysis projects.
Mark came to CPSI after being the Chief Technology Officer for SIFA for four years. Mark has a Master of Science in Computer Science, a BS in Computer Science, and a Master/Bachelor of Arts in German.

» Gay Sherman – Director of Sales

Gay Sherman came to CPSI in 2002 from her previous position as a Senior Administrator for Network Services for one of the top ten largest school districts in the US. She has an extensive knowledge base of network infrastructures and understands what types of solutions school districts need.
Gay has a BS from the University of Central Florida and has advanced education in Total Quality Management, Project Management, and Microsoft technologies.

» Joe Dobronski – Director of Technical/Deployment Services

Joe has been with CPSI since . He came to us out of the Air Force, where he was an officer and a pilot. Joe spent the first year with CPSI as a network coordinator for a local school district, which gave him a clear understanding of K-12 and the environment that teachers, administrators, and IT staff deal in every day. Joe leads our technical and deployment staff with his many years of experience and wide knowledge base.
